About Monaco Taxi
Monaco Taxi app, developed by Tradinos, is revolutionizing the transportation and mobility sector in Monaco. With its on-demand ordering and reservation system, it addresses the high demand for taxis in the area and increases user satisfaction. This innovative approach takes the transportation sector in Monaco to a whole new level, providing a convenient and efficient experience for both riders and drivers.
Challenges
One of the main challenges faced in developing the platform was addressing the unique needs of taxi management in Monaco. Being a complex community with specific requirements and needs, there were multiple layers of restrictions based on drivers' location in which taxi station, as well as status restrictions that have been enforced throughout the years. These restrictions required a complex distribution algorithm with multiple factors to take into account to ensure fair distribution of riders and drivers.
The users of the app were segmented into two groups, the Monegasque people, and the tourists visiting Monaco. The app needed to cater to the needs of both groups and make the transportation experience as seamless and efficient as possible.
Solution
To overcome these challenges, we developed an innovative approach to transportation and mobility to fulfill the high demand and increase user satisfaction. They aimed to take the transportation sector in Monaco to a whole new level by providing a convenient and efficient service for both riders and drivers
Main Features
The main features of the Monaco Taxi app include on-demand orders and reservations with a high-level distribution algorithm. This allows for efficient matching of riders and drivers, ensuring that the closest available driver is dispatched to the rider's location. The app also has integration with taximeter devices, allowing for out-of-app orders. This feature allows drivers to take orders even when they don’t have the app open on their phone.
Furthermore, the app has integration with Google Maps, Twilio, Virtual IP PBX, and e-payment. This allows for real-time tracking of the driver’s location, easy communication between the driver and the customer, and a seamless payment experience. This integration of various tools and technologies makes the transportation experience more convenient and efficient for both riders and drivers.
The Monaco Taxi app is available on both Android and iOS platforms, with a customer app and a driver app, as well as an admin dashboard and a customer operations dashboard. This allows for easy management and tracking of the entire transportation system, providing a centralized platform for all transportation-related operations.
Technology Used
We used Flutter to develop mobile apps, which is a popular open-source framework for building high-performance mobile applications. They also offered UI/UX design, development, and SLA services, ensuring that the app is visually appealing and user-friendly. The development process followed Agile UX and Scrum Agile development methodologies, ensuring that the app is developed in an iterative and incremental manner, allowing for constant feedback and improvements.
